PGMA at Fairmont (Dubai) Hotel

Yesterday morning, one of my colleagues told me that her excellency President Macapagal Arroyo was at the Fairmont Hotel. He was showing me the photo he took from his mobile while he was telling the story. He didn't know the reason why and how long The President will stay so I kind of felt bad of missing the chance to see her face to face for the very first time.

After work, I decided to stay at the lobby and called my boyfriend to pick me up because it was too windy when I went outside the hotel. I totally forgot about PGMA's visit until a group of Filipina went up to me and one lady asked me if I am going to see The President? I told her I am working at the hotel and was just waiting for someone. I did asked her for details and found out that there's a convention going on for OFWs with PGMA at the 33rd Floor. And since I really wanted to see her, I went up to the 33rd Floor only to find out that I need an invite to get in. Boo.

Today, I saw my very nice colleague rushing towards me and told me that The President is about to leave and a lot of Filipinos are waiting at the lobby until she goes down from the 31st F where she stayed. We both went down and waited by the red carpet along with Filipino staff of Fairmont Hotel. I had my camera ready and as soon as she went out of the lift, everyone took photos and PGMA. She was kind enough to pause and pose for a photo with the Kababayans...including myself :)
